The abbreviated Republican National Convention got underway in earnest tonight.  The convention was delayed because of Hurricane Issac.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was tonight's featured speaker.  He spoke more about the greatness of America, rather than presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Romney will speak on Thursday night, and VP candidate Paul Ryan, tomorrow night.
