Childress Police Department to Keep ‘In God We Trust’ on Patrol Units

Monday afternoon, Chief Adrian Garcia of the Childress Police Department posted a response on Facebook he sent to a Political Action Committee concerning a slogan on the city's patrol units.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation recently sent a letter to the Childress Police Department requesting "In God We Trust" be removed from CPD's patrol units.

Garcia's response reads in part, "... I must deny your request... and ask that you and the Freedom From Religion Foundation go fly a kite."

As of Monday evening, the post on the Childress Police Department's Facebook page has received over 1,700 likes and 1,400 shares.
