The re-boot of Roseanne isn't a pro-Trump or pro-Republican comedy. Roseanne herself isn't a conservative. But the new show worked this week because it followed a simple formula for comedy television. Make fun of all sides, have a serious discussion, and don't make one side feel like it's always under attack. More shows should learn from ABC's Roseanne.
