Celebrate the Holidays Early with LCU’s Big Blue Christmas
Thanksgiving is over and that means it's just the time to get ready for Christmas, if you haven't already. Lubbock Christian University is getting the festivities started early by celebrating their annual Big Blue Christmas event.
This event is family friendly and a great way to start off the Christmas season in Lubbock as the entire campus transforms into a magical wonderland. Since it is Lubbock Christian University then you know there will be lots of singing and this does include carolling. While you enjoy the songs of the season there are also other activities to do in other locations near the center of campus.
Santa's workshop will be up and running in the Student Union Building where they'll have crafts, games, a photobooth and storytime. This isn't the only one stop craft department as you can also just walk on over to Gimbels Department Store in the Baker Conference Center and take some selfies. There will also be pictures with the big man himself, Santa Claus, at the Christa Dobbs Center for Business but that line does stop at 6:30 p.m.. You do have to ensure
There will also be a chance for children middle school aged and younger to register to win a stocking filled with lots of holiday goodies. Those children will have to be there at the event to get their present, registration closes at 6:45 p.m.. The winners will be drawn at the end of the end of the night around the Chap statue just in front of the McDonald Moody Auditorium. This will be followed by LCU President Scott McDowell officially kicking of the Christmas season on campus as they light the Chap blue. This event will be on November 28th from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the Lubbock Christian University campus.
