Carl Tepper Talks with Chelsen Vicari About Liberal Influences on Modern Christianity [VIDEO]

On Friday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, guest host Carl Tepper interviewed Chelsen Vicari, from The Institute for Religion and Democracy (IRD) about how traditional Christian faith is being influenced and damaged through liberal influences.

During their very interesting conversation, Vicari provided specific details on how religion is being moved away from what scripture teaches, and how even the Bible itself is being modified to meet politically correct societal demands. Vicari said,

The danger of this distorted liberal theology that's really permeating evangelical churches is that it's breaking down the moral values that are outlined in scripture. And so the platform of the evangelical left no longer looks like sharing the Gospel because there's sin and Hell, and we want to make sure that the hope of Christ is given to everyone. Instead, the platform looks like the DNC's platform, the theology looks like accepting same sex behavior and lifestyles, and believing that they are sanctioned and blessed by God.

On the Bible being modified to accept more liberal lifestyles, Vicari continued,

Young evangelicals, motivated largely I would say, by the evangelical left or the Christian left, are just picking the nice parts of the Gospel. So they're minimizing things like sin and hell and the need for repentance. They are really inching towards universalism as well, wanting to believe that everyone is on the same page, you know, we don't want to offend anyone, we want to tolerate, want to co-exist. They're using a lot of liberal political buzzwords, but the point is that the Gospel itself is going to be offensive [to some people].
