The most watched automotive show in the world, with around 350 million weekly viewers worldwide, has allegedly lost all of its presenters.

Jeremy Clarkson, the shows main host, was put on administrative leave for allegedly striking a producer of the show. While Clarkson was on leave, the shows other two presenters, Richard Hammond and James May, refused to finish the series without Clarkson according to British news source, the Independent.

The BBC is now reporting that Clarkson said he was fired from the BBC at a charity event in London. This morning in two Facebook posts, James May and Richard Hammond are both saying they are fired as well. Clarkson is no stranger to controversy, with many incidents where people were offended by remarks and actions made by Clarkson.

If all of this is true, the automotive world has lost its greatest champions, who bridged the gap between gearheads and people who are not into cars, with a show that entertained and informed everyone who watched. I am truly saddened that my current favorite TV show is going away, but I speculate the Clarkson, Hammond and May will be back on the air soon, even if it isn’t at the BBC.
