Friday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Editor of the Quorum Report Scott Braddock joined Dave and Matt to talk about the Texas lawmaker who was caught on video dropping an envelope full of cocaine, the Supreme Court considering ending protections for immigrants under DACA, and more.

Braddock started the discussion by talking about the unusual case where a Texas lawmaker, Representative Alfonso "Poncho" Nevárez, was caught on video at an airport dropping an envelope that contained cocaine, an envelope that also had his official Texas House seal on it. Scott was surprised that Nevárez completely put the blame on himself, and said that it is just a sad situation that his career had to end this way and that he will likely face disbarment.

Scott was also asked about the Supreme Court considering whether to end protections for young undocumented immigrants under DACA. Braddock explained that conservatives, republicans in general, and even Trump have been "all over the map" about this issue.  Trump said during his campaign that young people did not need to live in uncertainty, but since then has said that they would need to be sent back to their respective countries. Scott went on to say that while it's easy to get someone's opinion on illegal immigrants, it can be harder to get their stance on these kids who didn't have a choice in the first place. Finally he explained that both democrats and republicans agree that there should be a deal worked out for these young people, but that both groups just want to use it as a political issue.
