Boy Abandoned by Father on I-20 to Temporarily Stay with Foster Family

The four year old boy whose father abandoned him last week on Interstate 20 will remain in foster care for the time being. A Nolan County Judge ruled that four year old Angel will stay with his foster care family while his biological mother is evaluated. His mother, Dana Campos, and his uncle Angel Estrada, are both undergoing evaluations by Child Protective Services which could take months to complete. His father Carlos Rico has been charged with attempted capitol murder and remains in jail on a $500,000 bond.
