Beto O’Rourke to Make Campaign Stop in Lubbock on Tuesday
Perennial political candidate Beto O'Rourke is campaigning across Texas again; this time for the Democratic Party's nomination for Texas Governor in the 2022 Election.
Next week, O'Rourke will be making stops in West Texas, including in Lubbock on Tuesday, December 14. O'Rourke's Lubbock event will be at Mae Simmons Park inside the South Pavilion from 12pm-1pm.
O'Rourke will also be meeting with supporters in Amarillo and Midland. On Monday, December 13, O'Rourke will be in Amarillo at Sam Houston Park from 6pm-7pm. Then, on Tuesday evening O'Rourke will be meeting with supporters in Midland. The Midland event will be held at MLK Jr. Park at 1206 Hickory Avenue from 6pm-7pm.
O'Rourke is a former Congressman and El Paso City Councilman. He ran for U.S. Senate in 2018, losing to Senator Ted Cruz (R) in the general election. Less than two years later O'Rourke started a campaign for the Democratic nomination for President. His campaign ended on November 1, 2019 and he endorsed Joe Biden in 2020.
