You've probably noticed that it has been hot lately. Really hot. And it's just the beginning of summer in West Texas so that means plenty of more chances for triple digit heat to return. And that also means that a lot of us will be looking of ways to beat the heat without driving up our electric bills.

On Thursday, June 22 TXU Energy and Love the Hub are teaming up to provide cool relief to Lubbock residents. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., TXU Energy and Love the Hub will be at CO-OP Lubbock at 2005 Ave. T in Lubbock giving away fans and even a limited number of AC window units.

According to Love the Hub's Facebook page, fans and AC units will be given away on a first come, first serve basis. Over 300 fans and 50 window AC units will be given away and it's one per household only.

So get ready to beat the heat and get a new fan and possibly even a new window unit AC on Thursday.
