Bart Reagor Files Motion for New Trial in Ford Lawsuit
On Tuesday, December 24th, Bart Reagor filed a motion for a new trial after he was found to have owed just under $54 million to Ford Motor Credit by a jury back in October.
Reagor-Dykes, Bart Reagor and Rick Dykes were sued by Ford on July 31st, 2018 and accused of fraud and default. KAMC News reports that Rick Dykes settled out of court but Bart Reagor fought the lawsuit.
The case went to trial on the question of how much money was at state.
Reagor's attorney argued in the new motion that under federal law, there are certain attorney fees and interest that he is not obligated to pay. The lawyer also argued that Ford cannot "mix and match" legal fees it spent on the lawsuit and the bankruptcy.
Ford has yet to respond in court records.
