Bacon Fest Is Being Held in Slaton on Saturday

If you're a fan of bacon and all the different ways you can eat it, you'll want to go out to Slaton on Saturday morning.

Bacon Fest will be held Saturday, May 11 at 8 a.m., at the Texas Air Museum at the Slaton Airport (12102 FM 400 #34, Slaton, TX 79364).

This rain-or-shine event features 600 pounds of Wright's Brand Bacon being cooked in a variety of ways: Bacon BLT sandwiches, bacon egg and cheese burritos, brown sugar and honey bacon sticks, green chili bacon cheeseburgers, and blue cheese bacon hamburgers.

Bacon Fest is presented by Gene Messer Chevrolet, Wright Brand Bacon, Caprock Classic Car Club, Texas Air Museum, Hurst Farm Supply, Wild West Harley-Davidson, Tyson Foods, Mario's Trim Shop and Cloud 9 Promotions.
