
A Cold Front Is Heading Towards Lubbock, Rain Chances to Increase Too
A cold front is heading for Lubbock and other parts of Texas, but that doesn't mean you will need to break out the long sleeves just yet. But at least for a few days, temperatures will feel much better.
Cold Front Heads Toward Texas
Not all of Texas will see a cool down and any cool down we get will be short lived. Remember folks, it's still August. But according to TexasStormChasers.com, as of right now, the Panhandle, South Plains, Big Country and North Texas could see temperatures drop starting Tuesday of next week.

Central, South, and far West Texas aren't expected to see cooler temperatures as of right now, but that could change by Tuesday of next week.
How Strong Will The Cold Front Be?
As of this writing, forecasts show Lubbock's high on Tuesday in the upper 80's, Wednesday upper 70's to low 80's, and on Thursday mid to upper 80's. High's in Lubbock are expected to be in the upper 80's low 90's for the first few days of September according to forecasts.
In the DFW are, Tuesday through Thursday will see high temperatures in the upper 80's.

Forecasts also show rain chances increasing starting Tuesday of next week.
So while this will be a nice break from temperatures in the upper 90's. It's not time for Fall just yet. It's still summer and it's still going to be hot for at least the first part of September.
