October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and many different organizations are coming together to raise money and awareness for this deadly disease. But one group's method of raising awareness is causing a stir at an Arizona high school.

Cheerleaders at Gilbert High School in Arizona have been told they cannot wear their breast cancer awareness T-shirts because of an objectionable slogan. The T-shirts are light pink and read "Feel For Lumps, Save Your Bumps," across the back. The shirts were bought for the girls by the cheerleading booster club, and the girls had planned to wear them at the school's home football games. The administration says they never approved the shirts, and have banned the shirts from the games.

It's great that these young ladies want to get involved in helping raise money for breast cancer awareness. And I don't think this slogan necessarily as bad as some other breast cancer awareness slogans I've heard, but I can understand why some people would take offense to it. But no worries, there's plenty of ways to raise money for breast cancer awareness without using a silly slogan.
