Marching bands from across the area will perform in Lubbock High’s annual marching festival.

Twenty-four marching bands will participate in the 8th Annual Lubbock High Marching Festival at Lowrey Field Saturday, October 8th.

Bands from schools ranging from 1A to 5A will march in the event. The performances begin at 8:30 a.m., and the last band is scheduled to perform at 3:45 p.m.

The annual festival serves as a dress rehearsal for many of the bands who will participate in the University Interscholastic League’s marching contest over the next two weeks.

Admission to the marching festival is free. Lowrey Field is located at 66th Street and Avenue P.
