An Earthquake Strikes 7 Miles South of Ralls
The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting that another earthquake has occurred in West Texas.
Tonight's earthquake with a magnitude of 2.8 happened at 6:34pm, about 7.3 miles south of Ralls, or 27 miles east of Lubbock or 45 miles southeast of Plainview. The official coordinates were: 33.589°N, 101.367°W.
The depth of the quake was about 3 miles below the surface, or 4.9 km.
No injuries or damage were reported.
