Alcove Farms first opened in 2016 and since then, they have made a big splash in Lubbock when it comes to their eggs and chickens. But this past weekend was their final weekend at the Wolfforth Farmer's Market after announcing their plans to close operations.

Alcove Farms took to Facebook at the end of last week to announce that due to rising costs, they would have to shut down. Alcove Farms said that the rising costs have made it difficult to continue providing "natural, high quality products".

Alcove Farms has been a staple in the Lubbock and Wolfforth areas since 2016 providing fresh eggs and hormone-free chicken. In the post, Alcove Farms said in their post that it has been a blessing serving Lubbock.

Alcove Farms did say that there would be one last final chicken meat restock in December and that select stores will continue selling their eggs until Christmas. You can pick up eggs at the farm until Christmas.

You can get more details on the Alcove Farms Facebook Page.
