Words and meanings.

These days, nothing is as it used to be nor as it appears. Ulterior motives are often at play. It is up to us, we straight-shooting, no BS, West Texans to keep conversations out of the bar ditches!

I cannot help but stress that the flow of the daily show be one of plain talk that is truthful and sincere, without confusing feelings or devious intent. Just truth. We don't have to figure it out in one show - we have all week and then some! We need to set the pace and keep the cooler heads while the enemies of truth and decency wail and gnash their teeth. We stand on rocks or slip into sinking sands, correct? Indeed.

From the upper Panhandle, past Big Spring into the Permian Basin, the vast KFYO Krew lets me know that the News/Talk of West Texas is the place where they ARE heard. For almost a century, KFYO has been welcomed into the ranch bunkhouses of the Plains and into the cul de sac duplexes and condos of the city. We acknowledge and are appreciative!

The feedback y'all bring is not lost on me. You all will see further representation and evolution on the website and on-air as to what it means to be West Texan and what is most important out here. It's not just water and wind, there is a whole culture out here as diverse as the colors that make up the Llano Estacado landscape. The world will be better for having been exposed via our interactions in media.

Your words and mine, make up the implied "size" in McDermott At-Large. We're not "all hat" here, no. We're the bulls with the horns. Amen? Amen!

Get big or go home, right? Thanks, West Texas for letting me saddle up weekdays at 830am CST on KFYO.
