Covenant Children’s Hospital Organizes Weekend Of Giving To Support Children

Covenant Children's is offering the Lubbock community the chance to support children across the South Plains with one special weekend. The Weekend of Giving, hosted by Debbie and Joey McGuire, will be giving back to children across West Texas and Eastern New Mexico who travel and seek medical attention at Covenant Children's.

Covenant Children's will be kicking off this event on Friday, May 3, with their storytellers concert where Sara Evan, best-selling country singer and songwriter, will headline the event. Joining Sara Evans will be award-winning singer/songwriter/producer Jeff Trott, best known for his collaboration with Sheryl Crow. The two have also recently finished a collab together on Evans' newest album, set for release later in 2024.

The fun does not stop with the weekend as there is also a scheduled golf tournament. The Chip in for Children Golf Tournament will be pairing two complete strangers, one a celebrity, together. Celebrities for the 2024 Chip In for Children Tournament include Coach Joey McGuire, Josh Abbott, William Clark Green, and Louis Vasquez.

This event will be a fun filled way to support Covenant Children's Hospital which helps out kids from all across the South Plains. Covenant Children's Hospital is still taking sponsors and anyone interested in becoming a sponsor for this event can apply at covenanthealth.org.
