Covenant Children’s will receive four Touch2Play DS-140 game units, valued at $20,000, from the Callaway family of Dexter, NM. This marks the 17th year of donations.
After losing their daughter Lindsey in 2001, the Callaway family decide to improve the lives of children who were visiting the hospital. Rick and Tracy Callaway, with the help of friends and family, have donated nearly $500,000 worth of toys and monetary contributions to the children’s hospital in honor of their daughter.
This year, each system features a 21” HD monitor and games for all ages, including sports, action, word and math, and puzzles and problem solving. The systems are a beneficial tool to reduce stress, anxiety and boredom of patients and their families during hospital stays and treatments.
The ceremony will be held at Covenant Children’s, 4000 24th St., Racer Classic Carwash Performance Theater Monday, December 18th, at 1 pm.
