12 People Arrested During Texas Anti-Gang Center Operation
On Friday, 12 people were arrested for various drug and weapons charges.
Lubbock investigators along with the Texas Anti-Gang Center (TAG) attempted to local 41-year-old James Perryman, who is featured on the "TAG Top 10 Most Wanted Gang Fugitives" list. Perryman had an outstanding federal arrest warrant related to weapons violations.
LPD conducted several traffic stops and searched a home in the 2300 block of 29th Street in an attempt to locate him.
Perryman was located Friday during a traffic stop in the area of 41st Street and Utica Avenue. He was taken into custody, and as a result of the operation, 11 more people were arrested:
- James Dewey Anderson, 43, was arrested for a prohibited weapon and a felony warrant.
- Darren Fontenot, 33, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance
(methamphetamine). - Brett Giles, 45, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance
(methamphetamine) and possession of marijuana - Adam Hernandez, 33, was arrested on a felony warrant for possession of a controlled
substance. - Cindy Kula, 39, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance
(methamphetamine) and possession of marijuana. - Chad Malett, 45, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance
(methamphetamine) and possession of marijuana. - Robert Moore, 21, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Brenda Salas, 37, was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and
possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. - Shanna Salinas, 35, was arrested on a felony arrest warrant.
- Kaeden Taylor, 21, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance
(methamphetamine), a prohibited weapons and misdemeanor warrants. - James Wheelis, 39, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
