As a result of Wednesday's extreme wind, Xcel Energy had around 30,000 customers without power in Texas and New Mexico at 3:00 p.m. CDT Thursday.

That number went down to about 17,000 at about 5:00 p.m. CDT, according to an email by Xcel Energy's Wes Reeves.

Crews are still working to make repairs and are estimating that the majority of those without power will have it restored by 11:30 p.m. Thursday night. Around 98% of customers are estimated to have restored power by 11:30 p.m. Friday night.

There are around 500 personnel working on the restoration. Notifications will be sent to customers based on their estimated restoration time.
