Wrongful Death Lawsuit After Deadly House Explosion
A wrongful death lawsuit was filed on Monday related to the deadly house explosion at 2910 21st Street in Lubbock.
72-year-old John Fleming and 45-year-old Rodica Gelca died after the fire and explosion at the house on March 27th. According to the lawsuit, the two were neighbors. Razvan Gelca, the plaintiff and widower of Rodica, seeks monetary relief over $20 million.
Razvan Gelca filed the suit against Candace Chase who lived with John Fleming. The lawsuit didn't specify the exact relationship between Fleming and Chase.
The lawsuit said Fleming and Chase were negligent for, among other things, "storing hazardous materials in a residential neighborhood."
