Woman Originally Believed to be Victim of Home Invasion Found to Have Self Inflicted Wounds

The woman who was previously believed to be the victim of a home invasion turned out to have made the whole thing up.

Authorities are saying that no evidence of a home invasion was found at the home of 55-year-old Debbie Hill in the 5900 block of 72^nd Street. Yesterday morning Hill called 911 claiming that two Hispanic males were robbing her home.

On the 911 tape Hill can be heard screaming things like “get out of my house,” however no other voices can be heard on the tape.

When emergency crews arrived they found Hill in the home with a gunshot wound to the leg. It is now believed the gunshot wound was self inflicted.

The weapon used for the shooting was found on the premises, although the owner of the gun has not been announced. The reasons for Hills actions are still undetermined.
