
Woman Arrested in Lubbock After Deadly Two-Vehicle Accident
A woman has been arrested in Lubbock after a deadly vehicle accident that occurred Tuesday at the intersection of Idalou Road and East Broadway.
Police and emergency crews responded to the scene just after 5:00 p.m., after receiving reports that a Jeep Wrangler had collided with a Chevy pickup.
At the scene, police discovered the driver of that pickup, a 52-year-old man, with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to UMC and later pronounced dead.
Police have arrested 20-year-old Keely Walker from Lorenzo, Texas, for intoxication manslaughter and possession of a controlled substance.
KAMC News reports that Walker is alleged to have disregarded a stop sign at the intersection, which led to the accident. Lubbock police continue to investigate.
