William Shatner Spooks ‘Trekkers’ With Star Wars April Fool’s Day Joke

Actor, comedian, singer, William Shatner took to Facebook last night and spooked his Star Trek fans by stating he would appear in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII.

A number of fans of the Star Trek & Star Wars science-fiction movies have drawn battle lines after director J.J Abrams announced he would leave the re-booted Star Trek franchise to direct Star Wars: Episode VII.

Shatner, even gets in a poke at Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in Star Wars: Episodes IV-VI. Shatner has been feuding with Fisher in a way only two past-their-prime actors can.

Disney announced plans for new Star Wars movies after they bought the rights to the franchise from George Lucas.
