White Castle Is Coming To Texas, Here’s Where The First Location Will Be
For the first time in it's long, long history, White Castle is opening a location in Texas. And many are already wondering if the announcement of the first White Castle in Texas is just the first of many.
Where Is White Castle Opening In Texas?
The Dallas Morning News reported that White Castle is expected to open in the North Texas town of The Colony in the summer of 2026. It will be located at a development called Grandscape which has been labeled one of Dallas-Fort Worth's biggest retail and restaurant developments off State Highway 121.
For those not familiar with The Colony. It's about a 30 minute drive north of Dallas. If you are in Arlington for a Rangers or Cowboys game, it's also about a 30 minute drive north.
What is White Castle?
White Castle is a burger chain that opened in 1921 in Wichita, Kansas. They are known for their small burgers, or sliders. It has a large presence in the Midwest and around New York, but west of the Mississippi they are hard to find. In fact, according to White Castle's website, they have 3 locations in Arizona and 1 location in Las Vegas.
Will White Castle Expand Further into Texas?
No one knows the plans for White Castle and they are keeping any plans they may have close. It would come as a surprise if we don't see other locations open in larger cities in Texas. As for places like Lubbock? I wouldn't hold my breathe. According to the Dallas Morning News, the people behind Grandscape pitched White Castle pretty hard to build at their location.
