Among America's super sunny cities, Yuma and Phoenix, Arizona top the list at number one and two respectively, as does Las Vegas, Nevada, which ranks number three on the list.

Texas cities making the top fifty list are: El Paso coming in at number 7, Odessa (18), Lubbock (22), Amarillo (26), San Angelo (27), Wichita Falls (28), Abilene (30), Fort Worth (40), and Waco (44).

To compare: Yuma spends 66.3 percent of the year in sunshine, while Lubbock averages 43.84 percent.

As far as the least sunny locations in the nation, Alaska can claim six cities making that list, with other cities making the top ten least sunny list being in Hawaii, Washington, New Hampshire, West Virginia and Oregon.
