West Texas Roller Derby Needs YOU!
Ladies, have you ever thought about joining roller derby? If the answer is yes, or maybe the answer is no, but you might be a little interested in what roller derby is, then you won't want to miss out on a recruitment event taking place on Sunday, January 14th.
According to KAMC, the event is open to women ages 18 and older and there will be a $5 dollar fee that will cover your skates. The "New Year's Resolution: Try Roller Derby" event will be held at SK806 Roller Rink at 12209 Geneva Avenue.
The event will begin at 4pm and last until 6pm. According to the event website, participants will meet other roller derby skaters and learn what roller derby is all about.
You’ll get to meet and greet WTRD skaters and learn what derby is all about. Stick around after the event for a quick Q & A, and register for our New Skater Training Program starting January 21st.
No skating experience needed!
All fitness levels!
West Texas Roller Derby also announced that people are needed to be referees and Non-Skating Officials. Both are open to men and women ages 18 and up.
