Wednesday’s Severe Weather in Metroplex Affecting Air Travel Across the State
Wednesday afternoon's severe weather in Dallas/Fort Worth is affecting air travel not just in the Metroplex, but across the state.
Both Southwest and American Airlines have cancelled a number of flights scheduled to either depart from, or land at Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport, through at least 7:30pm tonight. Three, Wednesday afternoon, American Eagle flights from Abilene were also cancelled at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
Many of the American cancellations are through their regional carrier, American Eagle; which operates in many smaller market cities in Texas, Louisiana, and the rest of the country.
