Warmer Temperatures and Wind Blow Spring Into Lubbock
Today is the first official day of Spring and the weather is acting like typical Spring weather for Lubbock. While temperatures will be in the 60's on Monday, the forecast calls for a rapid warm up and yes, wind.
Some areas around Lubbock started the day with some light rain but it was nothing significant. According to KAMC, there is a chance of rain tonight and into Tuesday morning with highs on Tuesday around 76 degrees. On Wednesday, Lubbock should see highs in the 80's with windy conditions outside and of course the possibility of blowing dust each day this week through at least Thursday.

The National Weather Service in Lubbock is also warning residents about elevated fire danger on both Tuesday and Wednesday so far for this week. So be very careful if you decide to burn or grill anything outdoors this week.
Looking ahead the weather is looking great this weekend in Lubbock with the forecast as of Monday. As of today, this weekend we should see sunny and mild weather.
