Voice of Hope is Asking for Donations to Help Victims of Rape
Local rape crisis center, Voice of Hope, is asking for the community’s help supporting human trafficking victims by donations of basic necessities.
Voice of Hope’s Pastor Jaime Wheeler commented on the matter stating, “Human trafficking is a huge problem in Lubbock. A lot of times we think of a movie version of trafficking, looking for this creepy van kidnapping people and selling them and that’s hardly going to ever be the situation. A lot of manipulation is involved and so it might be harder to recognize.”
The organization is asking for new duffel bags and gift cards so those victims can buy basic necessities. Voice of Hope asks anyone with donations to call their office for drop off instructions at (806)763-7273.
