Lubbock Police have names in connection with a fatal car accident from this morning.

Just after 2:20 this morning a Lubbock Police officer observed the sounds of a vehicle collision on the westbound access road of South Loop 289 at University Avenue. The officer saw a pickup truck with damage leave the area, and the driver was eventually arrested near 66th and Avenue P.

Meanwhile, other first responders found 20-year-old Joshua Allen Noble who was riding a bicycle on the South Loop access road with life-threatening injuries. He later perished at UMC from his injuries.

The man arrested in connection with the accident has been identified as 38 year-old Casey Baker. He’s been charged with failure to stop and render aid and intoxication assault.
