Are you one of the soccer bettors, and fans, that are glad to see the back of the international breaks until March?

If you are, please join me: I am sick of all the breaks this season. I just want to watch my team play.

Well, you will get the chance to do that starting November 19, and if you are a fan of a team that plays in England, or you just like betting on English teams, this is coming into the best period of the campaign.

The festive fixtures!

There is wall to wall action, with games nearly every day of the week and the betting companies are generous with new offers. I am going to be lucky enough to be attending a bunch of matches in England at the end of this month and the beginning of the next, and maybe if I hit enough bets, I might stay until January!

This week sees the return of the three UEFA competitions (Champions League, Europa League, and Europa Conference League), with the main attraction kicking off Tuesday and Wednesday, November 23 and 24.

So which games should you be targeting this week?

Well, here is a handy guide to the Wednesday Champion League action on Matchday 5.

UEFA Champions League Wednesday, November 24

Check Fubo.TV, Paramount+, and ESPN+ for TV schedules

Group D

Inter (-286) v Shakhtar Donetsk (+800), draw (+800)

Time: 12:45 p.m. EDT

TV channel: Fubo.TV and Paramount+

Preview: if you look at the Group D table, it seems to have normalized after a crazy first two weeks. Inter and Real Madrid can both qualify for the knockout stage BEFORE they play on Matchday 6, but they both have to win Wednesday. Inter drew 0-0 in Ukraine on Matchday 2

Prediction: I can’t see Inter bottling this against a team with one point, but the Italians have done it before. Take Inter -1.5 for even money.

Best prop bet play:

Inter over 2.5 goals (+118)

Group B

Atlético Madrid (-130) v AC Milan (+400), draw (+290)

Time: 3 p.m. EDT

TV channel: Fubo.TV and Paramount+

Preview: this game will not matter (except for Europa League qualification) if Porto beats a less than full strength Liverpool side that has already clinched top spot in Group B. If Liverpool draws or wins, though, this game is massive. Atléti could move into second in that scenario with a victory, while Milan could put themselves in position to advance with a win.

Prediction: I think you have to go with Atlético Madrid here in this spot on the money line.

Best prop bet plays:

Atlético Madrid  win to nil (+200)

Group C

Sporting Lisbon (+205) v Borussia Dortmund (+133), draw (+250)

Time: 3 p.m. EDT

TV channel: Fubo.TV and Paramount+

Preview: you want a playoff game? You got a playoff game. If Sporting wins by two goals, the Portuguese side is basically thorough; even a one-goal win would be decent with their goal difference advantage over the Germans. A draw sends it to Matchday 6, while a Dortmund win would see them advance with two H2H wins over Sporting.

Prediction: I think your best plays here are both teams to score (-175) and the over 2.75 goals (-105). I think I would lean towards a score draw or a Sporting win, but Dortmund seems to find ways to win these matches.

Best prop bet plays:

Both teams to score in both halves (+1000)

Sporting pick (+120)
