On the Tuesday edition of The Chad Hasty Show, U.S. Senator John Cornyn spoke with Chad Hasty about his re-election campaign for the Senate.

Cornyn has faced some criticism from opponents and constituents alike, saying that he is not doing enough as Senator and is not the fighter he claims to be. He argued that those claims were false, and that he is still a die-hard conservative. he also remarked that this primary has been on of the "strangest" he's ever participated in, due to the fact that he has not seen any of his opponents in public.

"As I've traveled around the state...I have yet to run into any one of the seven people who are running against me on the Republican primary ballot. All they're doing is sending out mailers, E-mails and digital media, tweets, things like that, that misconstrue my record. So I'm confident that voters will see through this and we'll win today."

Obamacare continues to be a major issue for Senate Republicans, though Cornyn predicted that the system would eventually collapse under its own weight. He explained that simply trying to pass a law outlawing Obamacare would only result in a veto from Obama, but added that there are various ways to deconstruct the law using appropriations.

Cornyn also shared his thoughts on the developing situation between Ukraine and Russia. He said that it was obvious Russian President Vladimir Putin is taking advantage of Obama's "wishy-washyness" on foreign policy, and that the U.S. should work with NATO to stop this Russian encroachment.

Polls will be open today until 7 PM.
