Sunday, Lubbock firefighters responded to a structure fire in the 2200 block of East 58th Street.

KAMC News reports that a storage building was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at 11:20 a.m.

An adult male was found inside the building as the fire was being extinguished. Unfortunately, attempts to resuscitate failed. He was transported to University Medical Center.

Another man, also found inside the burning building, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner’s Office will work to determine the exact cause of death for both men and the Lubbock Fire Marshal’s Office will investigate how the fire started.
