Tractor-Trailer Rig Crashes Into Fast-Food Restaurant Storage Building, Driver Leaves the Scene
The storage building of a Lubbock chicken chain was knocked down this morning by the driver of a vehicle, who then left the scene.
Employees at the Church’s Chicken, located at 1702 50th Street said they saw an 18-wheeler hit the brick storage unit near the main store around 9:30 this morning.
The truck was described as a red 18-wheeler, covered in painted-on flames, with the words “Raging Inferno” across it. The truck was pulling a jet-powered firetruck named "Raging Inferno" at the time of the incident.
Police found the truck and the driver at Lubbock Speedway, and the man received a ticket for failing to report an accident and leaving the scene. No one was injured at the restaurant.
