Two tornadoes touched down around San Antonio Monday, damaging buildings and injuring several people. An aerial survey of the area yielded assessments on30 damaged structures, including several homes. Four people were hospitalized, with many being temporarily trapped in homes or businesses. No injuries were considered life-threatening.

CPS Energy says 4,300 San Antonio area customers were without power as late as this afternoon. In the Dallas-Fort Worth area over 10,000 customers were without electricity, and 1,500 Austin power customers were still in the dark Tuesday.

Lightning and hail flooded roadways from South Texas to as far north as Dallas. Many areas in Texas remain under flash flood warnings throughout Tuesday night.
