Fredericksburg, Texas has been named as "The Most Picturesque Small Town In America" according to travel experts at North Carolina Travel Guides.

120 small towns were analyzed and Fredericksburg was the only Texas town to make the top 15. However, 14 other small towns in Texas also made the overall list. More on that later.

There is a lot to love about Fredericksburg. From it's small town feel, the wineries, the architecture, and the German heritage that is seen in the food, celebrations, and architecture. The North Carolina Travel Guides also mentioned a trip to nearby Enchanted Rock shouldn't be missed out on.

Fredericksburg, Texas, located in the Texas Hill Country, is a paradise for those that want to admire stunning historic architecture and mesmerizing nature. The small town’s German heritage, German architectural style, and beautiful vineyards are some of the reasons why this is the most picturesque small town in America. Furthermore, one should not miss the nearby Enchanted Rock, which is a beautiful granite mountain from where great views of the surrounding natural landscapes can be enjoyed.

And as I mentioned earlier, Fredericksburg is known for being the heart of Texas wine country having more than 60 wineries. Of course many of the grapes used to produce those wines come from Brownfield, TX on the high plains.
