The City of Lubbock Solid Waste Department Asks You to Tie Your Trash Bags
The City of Lubbock wants to keep the men and women tasked with collecting garbage in the current environment safe.
In an effort to help with that, the City is asking you to tie all of your household trash bags before placing them in the dumpster.
The City says that it will "provide an extra layer of safety to the men and women collecting your trash during this health concern."
In a separate release, the City of Lubbock Solid Waste Department said it was modifying the hours of Lubbock's landfills.
The landfill on North Avenue P will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays only. The City of Lubbock’s West Texas Regional Disposal Facility will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
