The Texas Department of Public Safety has announced the capture of another fugitive from the Texas Top 10 Most Wanted Illegal Immigrants List. And it was a tip to Crime Stoppers that helped authorities take him down.

Carlos Venegas Ortiz, a citizen of Mexico, was captured in Tarrant County recently. He has been on the loose and wanted in Tarrant County since October of 2024 for "continuous sexual abuse of a young child".

Texas Top 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, so far in 2025 DPS and other agencies have arrested 21 people from the list that makes up the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives.

Carlos Venegas Ortiz was first arrested in Tarrant County in 2008. He has been arrested since 2008 for causing bodily injury to a family member and also for driving while intoxicated.
