An alleged terror plot has been disrupted in Texas. Federal prosecutors have charged a man living in Fort Worth for allegedly planning to build a bomb and carry out a suicide attack in order to kill Americans.

Afghan National Living In Texas Had Plans for Terrorism

Authorities claim that Mohammad Dawood Alokozay, a 30-year-old Afghan national who was living in Fort Worth, Texas had shared on social media sites like TikTok, X, and Facebook that he was planning on building a bomb in order to carry out a suicide attack according to Click2Houston.

According to the report, Alokozay praised the Taliban in videos, talked about how and where he would construct a bomb, and spoke about how he came to the United States to kill. He has reportedly been charged with transmitting a threatening communication in interstate commerce. If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison according to Click2Houston.

"Dangerous Incompetence" Blamed

Attorney General Pam Bondi lashed out at the Biden Administration for not fully vetting Alokozay according to the report.

Attorney General Pamela Bondi sharply criticized federal vetting procedures.

“This Afghan national came into America during the Biden administration and, as alleged, explicitly stated that he came here in order to kill American citizens,” she said, calling the threat “dangerous incompetence.”

The FBI, DHS, Texas DPS, and Fort Worth Police all had a part in the investigation.
