Texas Tech University has been recognized as the No. 1 University in Texas for online learning, according to BestColleges.com.

The site says Texas Tech earned the ranking by having six regional sites across Texas that offer access to the school’s Worldwide eLearning database, which features both hybrid and non-traditional programs.

Through the eLearning program, students can work towards a bachelor’s, doctorate, or certificate in a number of online programs, including business, psychology, and biology. Also popular is Texas Tech’s agriculture sciences and natural resource education programs.

In a news release, Texas Tech vice provost for eLearning & Academic Partnerships said, “We strive for quality in all of our programs, whether they are at a distance or on campus. The overall goal for Worldwide eLearning is to offer high-quality programs for students where they live, and this ranking indicates we are meeting our goal. We will continue to provide the best experience possible for all of our students.”

Texas Tech was also listed 12th nationally on Best College’s list of the 50 Best Accredited Online Colleges and Universities. To see a full list of the rankings, visit their website.
