A new dean for a particular service has been welcomed by the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

Robin Satterwhite, Ed.D., is now serving as the University’s new School of Allied Health Sciences dean.

Satterwhite earned his bachelor’s degree, MBA, and Ed.D. from Texas Tech, and served as the regional dean of the School of Allied Health Sciences at the Permian Basin for the TTUHSC from 1999 until 2005.

He then moved to the Lubbock campus to serve as the chair of the Department of Clinic Administration and Rehabilitation Counseling, and associate dean for learning outcomes and technologies.

“The school needs to focus on maintaining stability and identifying strategic areas of academic development and growth that are consistent with the university’s goals and which can be achieved within the current state budgetary environment,” said Satterwhite. “Fortunately, we have an exceptional faculty and staff and presidential support that can make all of this possible.”
