Texas Tech Athletics continue to boast their impressive arsenal of nationally and internationally acclaimed stars. Making the headlines most recently is the selection of Connor Graham and Tim Wiedemeyer to compete in the 2026 Arnold Palmer Cup taking place in Ireland.
This is the first time since 2019 where two Red Raiders have been named to the same team.

Who Are These Star Texas Tech Men's Golf Players?
Connor Graham
Connor Graham, a sophomore at Texas Tech, is a native of Scotland who decided to hone his golf skills right here in the Lone Star State. A testament to his golfing abilities is the fact that this is the second year in a row where he was invited to compete at the Arnold Palmer Cup.

Graham's slew of honors also include being the first Red Raider to be named on the GCAA (Golf Coaches Association of America) All-Freshman Team. He was also a part of the PING All-Region Team and the Big 12 All-Tournament Team. These all happened in his freshman year, by the way.
Tim Wiedemeyer
Junior Tim Wiedemeyer, a German native, also wished to come to Texas Tech to sharpen his talent, and sharpen he did. Last year as a sophomore, Wiedemeyer had the third-lowest average score on the team at 72.0. Remember: low scores are good in golf.
To put this into perspective, the average golf score, in general, is about 94. Beginners are lucky if they break below 100.
His career low was at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate with a round-one score of 66. During the Big 12 Championships fourth round, Wiedemeyer shot a 3-under-par 67: a tie for best score that round among all 80 players.
The 2026 Arnold Palmer Cup
This globally recognized golf competition is set for July 3 - 5 at Tralee Golf Links in West Barrow, Ireland. Celebrating its 30th year, the Arnold Palmer Cup features the top collegiate golfers around the world.
Each team will feature 24 golfers made up of 12 men and 12 women. Also, Graham and Wiedemeyer are the 14th and 15th all-time Texas Tech selections for the event.
The competition will span three days of golf matches, including Four-Ball, Foursomes, and Singles. You can see all the details of the impressive feat achieved by these two Red Raiders on the Texas Tech Athletics website.
