
Texas Resident Wins $2 Million Dollars Playing Mega Millions
Cha-Ching! A Texas resident has now joined the list of millionaires in the Lone Star State after claiming the $2 million dollar Mega Millions prize. The drawing reportedly happened back on October 14.
Texas Man Wins Mega Millions Prize
The Texas Lottery announced that a San Marcos resident who purchased the ticket in Austin at the U-PAK-M at 11940 Menchaca Road.
According to KXAN, the ticket was a Quick Pick ticket which matched a five white ball numbers which were 12-22-49-57-58. KXAN reports the winner selected the multiplier option which increased the prize from $1 million to $2 million.
First Second Tier Prize Won in Texas Since April
According to the Texas Lottery, this was the first second-tier Mega Millions prize since April.
In September, a Texas resident bought one of two lotto-winning tickets at Big’s 103, located at 11905 E. U.S. Highway 290 in Fredericksburg. That resident claimed half of the $1.8 billion Powerball Grand Prize, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
Not bad.
