Texas has such a large pool of ingenuity, serving as the home for countless CEOs for businesses across the spectrum. The state also serves as a perfect platform for entrepreneurs starting out where both small and large businesses can prosper.

Speaking of pro-business, Gov. Abbott also signed multiple bills into law during the 89th Legislative Session that boosts the capital market throughout the state. For instance, business decisions should be made within the company, not through government intervention.
Google Throwing Texas Business a Bone
In 2025, Google announced their $40 billion investment in Texas for energy efficiency and workforce development throughout the state.
Abbott stressed the importance of keeping Texas on the frontlines of the AI revolution. Major investments like those from Google will also go towards expanding energy capacity and growing job opportunities throughout the state, especially through the panhandle!
Texas DOGE Making Headway
Finally, Gov. Abbott signed the Texas DOGE law, a version of DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) unique to the state. This was intended to empower businesses and keep government from intruding on their day-to-day operations.
The bill was also meant to slash regulations, allowing businesses to grow while also enabling the Texas government to operate more efficiently.
