
Liberal Groups Across Texas Protested ICE on Sunday, Including In Lubbock
Across Texas on Saturday and Sunday, liberal organizations held protests against ICE agents while also protesting the shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis. Protests in Texas varied in size, with some of the larger protests happening in Austin over the weekend.
ICE Protests in Texas
According to KUT, at least five people were arrested in anti-ICE protests in Austin over the weekend. Anti-ICE protests spread for three days in Austin and picked up in other cities as well. Protesters carried signs demanding that ICE stop enforcing laws, and stop taking illegal immigrants off the street. Protestors also called for justice for Renee Good.
Lubbock Anti-ICE Protests Draws Few
According to KAMC, Sunday's organized protest in Lubbock took place at Citizen's Tower in Downtown Lubbock and attracted a few protesters. The protests began at about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday evening. The protest was peacefull.
