Lt. Gen. Ronnie D. Hawkins Jr., an Angelo State alumnus and 3-star Air Force general, has been announced as the sole finalist for the presidency of Angelo State University.

Midwestern State University Closer to Joining Texas Tech System
On Thursday, the MSU Board of Regents authorized MSU President Dr. Suzanne Shipley to negotiate a Memorandum of Understanding with Texas Tech University System officials. MSU would become the second university to independently join the TTUS after Angelo State joined Texas Tech in 2007.
Texas Tech System Day in Austin Earlier This Week
Earlier this week, representatives from the four components of the Texas Tech University System, including Texas Tech University and Angelo State University, were in Austin to meet with legislators at the State Capitol
