Man Who Was High on Meth Shot in Stomach During Confrontation in Lubbock
One man is in the hospital with a gunshot wound after a dangerous confrontation over the weekend.
KAMC News says the incident occurred in the 2500 block of East 50th Street on Saturday, July 21, 2018, just before 11 a.m. A police report details how an unnamed suspect entered a U-Haul neighborhood dealership in the area and confronted an employee for unknown reasons.

The victim in the incident said the suspect was threatening and picked up a large rock to assault him, so he called police. According to the report, before police arrived, the victim drew a handgun and shot the suspect once in the stomach.
Once on scene, officers took the suspect into custody, who was bleeding and erratic, refused treatment from EMS, and claimed to be high on meth. The suspect was eventually taken to a local hospital.
The alleged victim in the case was initially arrested at the scene, but has since been released. It's not clear what charges, if any, might be filed.
